Pillows

My spare room bed was looking a little sad so I decided it try and spice it up a bit. I found some cute yellow and black fabric at fabricland 50%off and grey fabric in the discount section 60% off. This is what it looked like before, pretty boring right?

To start I grabbed an old pillow case to measure out the right size. Not it is cut shorter because I am using a different fabric at the end.

Next I simple sowed the end part together and then turned it right side out.

On the main fabric I folded it over twice then sewed on the edge fabric sewed around the edge.


Here is the finished product:

I made some simple pillow cases out of the grey fabric.

Here they are all put together. It looks 1000 times better.

Growth boards

This was an easy project that looks pretty good when it's done. I bought some six foot boards from home depot spray painted some primer then added the desired colour. On the blue board I painted with a stencil. The orange one was too orange (I think even for my brother Spencer) so I brushed on a paint colour a bit darker and it turned out I think. I stenciled some numbers and an E for our last name out of scrap booking paper and the decoupage them onto the board.

Kay's Christmas Present

I really wanted to make myself and Kay a wreath and after some pinterest inspiration I came up with this.

It took me a bit to figure out how to wrap the yarn around the wreath but was very pleased at how it started to look.

I made the flowers out of felt which were super easy as well.

The things I do with my time...

I wanted to chronical the things I have been doing with my time and thought what would be the best way to do that... I thought about Facebook but thought this might be more appropriate. Mostly this is for me to keep track and remember. Enjoy!
